Furniture for Pediatric Umberto I

1997

In 1997, Malagigi designed the furnishings of the Pediatric Oncology Department Umberto I for Fondazione Bambini in Emergenza in Rome. Play spaces and reading areas were equipped with special shelves, and beds and bedside tables were put in place with lamps decorated to evoke fantasies and dreams with vivid, stimulating colors. With the help of volunteers the entire department was completely refurbished in 60 days. With the collaboration of Gonzagarredi Cooperative of Mantua, Fondazione Bambini in Emergenza, Mino Damato, and Nike Magnoni.
