Independent workshops with students and artists were organized for the Center for Contemporary Art of Afghanistan and the School of Hope in Kabul in 2004. It set the goal of building, through artistic languages, new relationships between the training needs of artists who were both self-employed and those with academic affiliations. Malagigi prepared the program and rules for the Center for Contemporary Art and gave drawing lessons. He also gave lectures at the Faculty of Fine Arts and visited sites where applied arts like ceramics, textiles, carpets were produced. Meetings were held with the Minister of Culture of the Karzai government, as well as with restorers from the Archaeological Museum who were responsible for repairing artifacts destroyed by the Taliban. With the collaboration of Fredric Levrat, Sislej Xhafa, Roya, Ghiasy, Zolaykha Sherzad, and Rahraw Omarzad.
