Edible Architecture

These projects represent public installations that took place both outdoors and indoors in order to query and make explicit questions surrounding world hunger, child malnourishment, and cultural difference. Within the installations, the transfer of food to be consumed by those with strong need returned to its state as a resource. In some cases such as ‘Babel’s Tower’ in Venice, form and flavor combined in the desire to reclaim and stimulate cultural fraternity. The shape of the constructions made reference to certain recognizable and celebrated icons.
